Legislation
Safe Base Care Limited has a legal responsibility to ensure that no unlawful discrimination occurs in the recruitment and selection process. In that regard we will adhere to all current and pending antidiscrimination legislation. This policy and procedure aim to achieve a consistent approach in order to comply with employment legislation and recognised best practice.
All members of staff appointed to work within Safe Base Care, including children’s provision and education and those on a contractual and sessional basis or volunteers will be appointed in accordance with the requirements of schedule 2 of the children’s homes regulations and children’s homes regulation 31 staffing of children’s homes and 32 fitness of workers, 33 employment of staff and 34 policies for the protection of children.
